About This Software

The SteamVR Performance Test measures your system's rendering power using a 2-minute sequence from Valves Aperture Robot Repair VR demo. After collecting the data it determines whether your system is capable of running VR content at 90fps and whether VR content can tune the visual fidelity up to the recommended level. For machines that are not VR Ready the tool can help determine whether capabilities are bound by Graphics Card, CPU, or both.

My laptop with a dual core i5(has hyperthreading) and only intel hd 4000 got a max score! (not a joke)
it took 3 minutes to load and was at 300fps the whole time intel the actual test loaded, but when it did i got 6 fps for the 3d frames. The average quality was at near max for some reason and the software thinks im rocking a macho master race rig!

my laptop is a lenovo g500s with an i5 3230m ,16gb of ram, a 1tb 5400rpm harddrive, and intel hd 4000 for a gpu.

Avarage quality: 10.9 (the quality graph flat lined at very high)
Frames Tested: 20094 (nearly all the frames tested was 3mins of 300fps loading screen)
Frames below 90fps: 230(1.1%) ((for about 15 second at the very end i got 5fps when the test loaded))
Frames Cpu bound: 60(0.2%) (( the only thing that might be true about this test)

tl:dr = I guess my intel hd 4000 will be runing the most intence vr games at very high so hype ;D

It's processer is an Intel Core i3-2120, CPU @ 3.30Ghz 3.30GHz. It has 6 GB of RAM. It's a 64-bit OS. TBH I have very little idea what all that ment but can someone tell me if my pc is able to handle the VIVE?

Terrible software. I have a brand new Evga GTX 1080 FTW and it says my GPU fails. Apparently I have the worst possible gpu and can't even run low quality graphics and need to buy a new one. Good job valve. I guess 3dmark and witcher 3 on ultra settings is wrong and your software is right. I'll throw my $1000 card in the garbage.

Capable of rendering low quality VR!

Well, I knew the GPU needed an upgrade, but how much did it drop below the standard?

Frames Below 90 fps: 1 (0%)
It dropped below 90 fps for 1 frame out of 9824 tested.
I am so ready.
