About This Software

The SteamVR Performance Test measures your system's rendering power using a 2-minute sequence from Valves Aperture Robot Repair VR demo. After collecting the data it determines whether your system is capable of running VR content at 90fps and whether VR content can tune the visual fidelity up to the recommended level. For machines that are not VR Ready the tool can help determine whether capabilities are bound by Graphics Card, CPU, or both.

I guess this is an "OK" way to measure VR performance, tthe only downside is that the actual score varies on identical (stable) hardware by up to 7%.

Good scenery, nice voice acting... but, the storyline was missing something. I really wish I could put my finger on it but I can't as of now. Soon though, as I am going on a 5 year journey to find out why I am feeling this way. I am going to have to go to every single place on this Earth to find out why I can't find my answer. So, till I come back I would like everyone to wish me luck while I find my true purpose in life. I will be leaving my account to my dearest friend "Abdule" who will be carrying me to global while I carry myself to the top of Mount Everest and I will take the life of the first person I see up there. I will then use the ritual of Abdule's ancestors to take over the world. Everyone will bend to my will and I will make them dance while I torch down everything that they love. I. Will. Not. Be. ♥♥♥♥ed. With.

8/10 Showed me my true purpose in life, but storyline isn't captivating enough.

It tested my integrated graphics (Intel), not my nVidia GPU. Can't see any options to switch. Fail.

My computer isn't ready for VR, and my wallet isn't ready for the computer upgrade.

Looks like my VR dreams will have to wait

I'm very happy my System performed well above what is needed for recommended, high quality VR, and scored as follows:-

Average Quality 11 (Very High)
Frames Tested 15616
Frames Below 90 fps: 0 (0%)
Frames CPU Bound 0 (0%)

but I cannot really justify the price of either Vive or the Rift, maybe if I attend a Demo at the local computer store and experence 1st hand, maybe, just maybe then after a 10%-20% price drop would I buy.

Truly a P2W game. The more $$ you spend in 3rd-party hardware mods, the more you win. Also one of the most expensive P2W systems. These days it could cost thousands of USD to really beat the game. Seems to me that I didn't spend enough money for my GTX 960 2GB mod. I only got 1 1/2 stars out of 3... It tells me that I have to upgrade my graphics card mod to win.

Sux that the VR headset companys are doing more of like what you see between Sony Playstation and Microsoft's Xbox rather than what they SHOULD be doing, like making the best headset with exclusive features like better tracking, or a differant way to do VR... and NOT making exclusive games that are creating a divide between VR users. IF I ever buy VR I want to be able to play and do it all, I dont want TWO VR headsets or Three just so I can play exclusive Games that only One of the VR headsets can play.

I Love SteamVR, nice way to double check your Rig before you buy VR.

Specifications of my system:

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333MHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD7970

I was running this with a core clock of 925MHz and a memory clock of 1375MHz and it said that my PC was "Not Ready" with the following:

Average Quality: 0.8 (Low)
Frames Tested: 8457
Frames Below 90 fps: 754 (8.9%)
Frames CPU Bound: 0 (0%)

However, I then overclocked it to 1050MHz and 1500MHz respectively and it tells me that my PC was "Capable" with the following:

Average Quality: 3.7 (Medium)
Frames Tested: 9435
Frames Below 90 fps: 0 (0%)
Frames CPU Bound: 1 (0%)

I hoped this has helped anyone out using this as a gauge or something.

Am I going/planning to get a VR headset? No, not right now.
